19th International Aerobic Championship 19th International Aerobic Championship, 11th International Youth Aerobic Championship, 4th World Junior Aerobic Showcase* The ANAC proudly presents the 19th International Aerobic Championship, 11th International Youth Aerobic Championship, 4th World Junior Aerobic Showcase* July 21-27. Athletes must qualify/register through the ANAC national affiliate in their country. If there isn’t an ANAC affiliate within a country then an athlete may request an open invitation by contacting ANAC headquarters.

Championship Housing
The Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort is the host hotel and headquarters for all events. The Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort and two additional nearby hotels are offering special reduced rates to all participants and their guests (see descriptions below). In order to receive the special rates you must inform the hotel you want the “Championship Rate”. Make your reservations as soon as possible utilizing the hotel reservation forms (download), as the hotels will sell out. The hotels will honor the reduced rates until July 1 (cut-off date). After the “cut-off date” room rates may increase. Please contact Championship headquarters if you need assistance in making or confirming your reservations. Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort
A special rate of $135.00 per night (single, double) $145.00 per night (triple) is offered to all participants, spectators, family and friends at the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort. It is located just 20 minutes from the Las Vegas McCarren International Airport and 20 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Lake Las Vegas is the home to many celebrities including Celine Dion. The Loews Lake Las Vegas Hotel is situated on a magnificent lake with breathtaking mountain views. All events will be conducted in the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort. Areas for training will be available within the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort beginning Monday, July 21.

Event Tickets
Each participating athlete in the International Aerobic Championship, Youth International Aerobic Championship and Junior Showcase will receive free entry into to all aerobic gymnastic events. Every ANAC member in good standing receives two free entry passes and one designated Team Coach receives one free entry pass to all events. Seating for all events is unreserved. Event tickets are on sale for all additional members of a delegation and accompanying family and friends. The distance between McCarran (Las Vegas) International Airport and Lake Las Vegas is 17 miles. Celebrity Shuttle is the official shuttle service offering shuttles from the airport to the hotels for a special round trip rate of $35.00. Prizes and Awards
Through a generous grant from Ann McVety all Gold medallists in the Women’s, Men’s, Mixed Pairs and Trios divisions of the International Aerobic Championship will receive US$500, all silver medallists will receive US$250 and all bronze medallists will receive US$125. First, second and third place athletes in the International Aerobic Championship Group division will receive the following amounts in cash (to be divided among the group):1st Place: $900 2nd Place: $600 3rd Place: $300
First, second and third place athletes in the International Youth Aerobic Championship and World Junior Aerobic Showcase participants will receive medals, trophies, patches and/or prizes from participating sponsors.

Judging System - FIG Code of Points
The 2008 International Aerobic Championship, International Youth Aerobic Championship and World Junior Aerobic Showcase will use the FIG Code of Points. The FIG Code of Points may be downloaded from the FIG website – www.fig-gymnastics.org.

Official Invitation for United States Visa
Requests for an ANAC official invitation letter intended to accompany USA visa applications must be requested early. This letter will be accompanied by a letter from USA Congressman Henry Waxman and forwarded directly from his office to the US Embassy in your country. The invitation letters are most effective when there is ample time for the US Embassy to process this request. Please be aware of this and start the process immediately by forwarding to ANAC Headquarters all names of the official delegation as they appear on their passports, birth dates and passport numbers.
